Wedding Eve
Dear Sugar,
There’s so much goodness that has happened in my life over the last nearly two years since meeting you, that I truly feel a bit like Cinderella and you’re my Prince Charming. Yes, that’s corny. But this is me we’re talking about so it can’t be that much of a surprise, right?
You’ve told me that you want nothing more from me than my own happiness. Each day, you told me once, you strive to find a way to make me happy. And you succeed. It can be the tiniest gesture of opening a door for me because you’re such a gentleman, or it could be a grand gesture like surprising me by making the earrings I’m going to wear on our wedding day.
How do I express to you, the man I’m going to marry tomorrow, that marrying you feels as though it’s the most perfect decision I’ve made in my life, without being able to really say why? Sure, I could say the stars are lined up so we’re in tune, or I could say the connection we have (whatever that means!) is what makes my heart feel bigger every time you smile at me or tell me you love me.
But really, I don’t know how to say it.
I bet just saying I love you in a few of our special ways will suffice.
