Leave it to me to follow a post in which I say that I don’t post much about my knitting anymore with a knitting-related post. I made a pair of fingerless mitts called Fetching. The best thing about these mitts? The name of the colorway of this yarn! What is it? Well, scroll on down to find out.
The colorway is called Bossa Nova (this yarn is really fun to knit up, it’s Mochi Plus, a Crystal Palace yarn) and it reminds me of that song of the same name that makes smile – just like the mitts do – and it goes something like this:
Great mitts, and that is a wonderful colorway. It’s funny, just last night I heard Annette Funicello’s version of this song. And I still remember Karen Valentine lip-syncing this, but I don’t think I knew at the time that It wasn’t Karen singing.
Love Edie Gorme – one of my faves by her is The Gentleman Is A Dope, which unfortunately isn’t on You Tube. But since it’s from that wonderful period when all the singers performed all the songs – they do have Jo Stafford’s wonderful rendition.
